Very creative obstacles that would be good if any service was done to the course, ever. A bridge had a lip that caused balls to fly through the air and the windmill did not spin, to name some examples. Eventually, we started using a ramp on a hole in the back to shoot balls into the parking lot. That was about three times more fun than the actual course itself.
You get what you pay for. This place needs a lot of work. It looked like they put on a fresh coat of paint to hide the maintenance that is badly needed. None of the motorized obstacles were running, things were falling apart and the multi-colored "astro turf" was worn out. On one hole, the underlying wood was exposed. The whole place had a creepy feel to it.
This course is great fun for just $5! It may not look like much from the boardwalk compared to some of the other courses on the Ocean City boardwalk, but each hole is themed and feels like a mini game. Most holes have different ways to get to the marker, which creates great strategy. Ramps, bridges, tunnels, a mini ferris wheel, a monkey hanging from a basket ball net, a hockey pinball game, and minions. This course has it all! Definitely give it a try.
Tip: This is one of the few courses on the boardwalk that stays the same price no matter what time of day or night you go, $5.
There were no clubs after we paid. The less than helpful attendant eventually rounded some up.
My son has aspergers and LOVES Goofy from the Mickey Mouse cartoons. As we walked by Goofy Golf, he jumped for joy and begged me to go in. We ran the whole course and Goofy did not make a single appearance. My son cried until we got home. Consider changing the name to "Minion Golf" or "Disappointment Golf".
The shame here is they had lots of interesting and fun holes.
If they just cleaned it up and put a little money into fixing the disrepair, then it would be 5 stars!
The course is not well maintained. Too much wear and tear. Things were in poor condition. Boards not painted, various holes not smooth, etc. You would but a ball and it would just mysteriously pop up. There were spots where you could see the underlying structure was warped and the ball would just veer off. There were holes where it was a struggle just to put the ball down at the "tee" to start, only because of the slope, the ball kept rolling off.
